Kathleen has over 30 years of experience in economic and community development, management of strategic public/private initiatives, catalytic real estate development and public sector leadership.
As an elected official in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, she served as the first Female President of the Springfield Township Commissioners in its 300-year history.
The governor of Pennsylvania appointed Kathleen as the Strategic Investment Officer for southeast Pennsylvania in the Office of Economic and Community Development. In this role she secured multiple funding sources for high impact infrastructure and economic development projects and managed real estate development teams composed of public and private partners.
In 2008 Kathleen returned to the private sector in her hometown of New Orleans. As a self-employed real estate broker and developer, Kathleen continues to take an active role in the post-Katrina rebuilding of New Orleans.
Kathleen currently serves on the Board of the New Orleans City Planning Commission. She is in the eighth year of her term and is former Board Chair. She has consulted with state government agencies on the Louisiana Watershed Initiative, an innovative, science-based approach to reduce flood risk in Louisiana.
Kathleen obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from Louisiana State University and completed graduate coursework in the Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning Program at the University of New Orleans.
