Bill Weger, MA, brings over 25 years of experience, applying creative thinking and technical skills to help leading federal agencies, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, and corporations improve their communications and outreach measurably.
He has worked closely with the government (HUD, CDC, NIH, SAMHSA, FDA, CMS, and OMH) and nonprofit organizations (American Red Cross, Epilepsy Foundation, Infectious Diseases Society of America, Bloomberg Foundation, Lutheran Services in America, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation).
Bill has led and contributed to multiple national public health campaigns and initiatives, covering asthma, diabetes control, flu vaccination, oral health, generic drugs for seniors, Medicaid enrollment, suicide prevention, seat belt use, and the NIH National Children's Study.
Bill has won 98 national awards for marketing and strategic communications. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master of Arts degree in Public Communications from American University.
He is a former journalist who wrote for dailies, weeklies, and the Associated Press. He was a columnist for PR TACTICS, a Public Relations Society of America publication. His book on nonprofit marketing, Inspire Good, won a distinguished Hermes Creative Award.
